Lily Allen to star in Neighbours

Lily Allen is heading to Ramsay Street, Erinsborough to star in Australian soap opera Neighbours, it been has announced. The 24-year-old singer is said to be a fan of the Channel 5 show and "wasted no time in accepting" the offer. It has not been revealed if Allen will play herself or a fictional character, but she is reported to be starring alongside actor Matt Werkmeister, who plays Zeke Kinski. Werkmeister is quoted on the Neighbours site, saying: 'I'll be star-struck for sure but will try my hardest to stay professional. I'll definitely want her autograph but will probably be too scared, so I'll ask someone to get it for me." Allen's latest album, It's Not Me, It's You, has gone double platinum in Australia.
